A Big Dilema........ dartmouth vs. williams.

Hi everyone -
I have a big dilema... I'm really torn between Dartmouth, and Williams, and have no idea which one i shoudl go for.
I live in Norwich VT (adjacent town to Dartmouth.. go to HS in hanover - dartmouth - etc, basically i live in "Dartmouth") so it seems kind of weird that I would want to spend the next 4 years of my life in the same town.... huh... i though about that. however, I really like the dartmouth campus, and the have a GREAT bike team (which i'm really into right now) and a very solid math program, which i'm thinking about majoring in. also, i'm going to be taking an adv. placement multi var. calc class at dartmouth b/c i ran out of math classes at my HS. weeee. howeeevvvvvvvverrrrr.......

williams... as most of you may know, it has a beautifuly campus too, probalby, in my opionion, nicer than dartmouths b/c it's more compact/together, etc. they also have a great math program... and since they are D3, i could run track... which i also love.

does anyone have any suggestions or anything, b/c i really would like to apply to one of them ED by early november. YAY for choices.

thank you all.

hmm...looks like both schools have something great to offer you. I'd have to say Dartmouth because i like the atmosphere about that school better than Williams. I think it really comes down to your personal choice. Have you visited Williams? that might help. This is a hard question to answer because you don't seem to not like anything about either one! lol

Visit both and decide for yourself.

You certainly shouln't rule Dartmouth out simply because you live nearby. Then again, going to school where you grew up isn't an experience that's for everyone, so if you don't think you could stand going to college 15 minutes away from your parents, think long and hard about Dartmouth.

illnevergetin might say go to Dartmouth because he/she liked it more. I personally liked Williams more. The schools split accepted students 50/50, so there are obvious good arguments for each. However, the decision is yours and should be made by you. I'm sure if you have specific questions about either school, posters here will be able to help you. If you can't decide between the two, applying ED probably isn't the right thing to do.

Best of luck with your decision!
