I just took my AP calculus final yesterday, and I'm pretty sure I did not do so well.

My grade 1st quarter was a low C, and I have no idea what my grade this 2nd quarter was (my teacher has been sick for a month+). If it was another low C, and I completely bombed this final...I could very possibly have a D+ in the class.

What are the chances of my acceptance being revoked? I mean, I can always pull out the legitimate excuses (teacher being absent, family issues at home)...and all my other grades have remained stellar (all AP classes, A's, one possible B+).

Any thoughts? I'm really worried. Should I have my counselor call or something? The website says that we should inform them of any significant grade drops before they receive the final transcript in June.

I doubt it ... not when you are taking all AP classes and getting A's in them. They may ask you to explain it but I don't see there is any real chance they will revoke you.

I think it was if you have 3 C's, 1 D, or 1 F they send a letter asking for an explanation. Wait and see what your final grade turns out to be, but do your best to bring it up to a C-. If it turns out to be a D, you at least have some legit excuses and should definitely inform them (if your counselor can vouch for you, even better).

FYI, they only revoke about 10% of the people they send this letter to (which are people that didn't let the school know about the grade before June), and most of the people that get revoked are the ones that never responded. Taking all that in to account, your chances of having admission revoked is 0% if you bring it up to a C-, and <.1% if you end up with a D and inform them early (with the counselor's help).
