A bit frustrating

Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed that in some earlier threads some of the links I've made to posts (not threads) open to a message page "thread does not exist". Since I'm not a techie, my only guess is that something within the CC system has caused the reference to no longer match.

When I come across this type of error, I've tried to fix it by relinking. Unfortunately, I can't remember everything.

If you come across a non-working link in a post that I've created, let me know, and I'll try and repost the correct reference.

Oh well...

Thank you for all the hard work! Those of us participating in the music major forum appreciate it!

Ditto! Absolutely appreciate everything you’ve done!

I wonder if it’s because all the posts get renumbered if prior posts are deleted.

Hunt, I had thought about that but given the history of this particular subforum, I cannot recall a moderator deleted post since the time I’ve been here. There have been a number of moderator deleted spam threads, but I don’t recall a lot of spam posts within existing threads. It’s conceivable there have been a few.

Damned if I know. I just want to fix 'em before my memory goes, or the aliens abduct me.

If a poster is banned, it appears that all their posts disappear–I’ve seen what appears to be the results of that in some other threads. I suppose some people might also ask to have all their posts deleted.

At least it’s the board that’s malfunctioning, not your memory! I’m pretty sure we couldn’t do without your amazing recall around here. :)
