A bit long term... (Class of 2013)

I'm in a bit of a odd situation and I was curious if anyone else was someplace similar.

Quick recap: Joined military out of high school (couldn't afford to go to any of the schools I wanted to). Got out of the military in 2007 and applied to several colleges (including Princeton). Got into Princeton (yay!) but was asked by the government to work in Germany for a few more years until someone was better able to replace me.

Thankfully the admissions office at Princeton was very friendly and helpful and they deferred my admission until the Fall of 2009. So, here's the two questions: Anyone else already know they'll be a member of the class of 2013? Anyone else have experience attending as an "older than normal" Freshman (I'll be 25 in Fall '09)?

Joey Cheek, the Olympic speed skating gold medalist, is a freshman this year. There aren't all that many non-traditional students, but the general perception of them is very positive.

Thanks for the reply, good to know there's at least a few other similar cases.

LOL, I like your username. :)

Yours has a certain "flair" to it too, heh.
