A bit of a bind..

So, some background to start off with. I'm 23, married, and have a child.

Whew, right?

Also, I started out as an Audio Technology major at my community college. Soon after, I had my son, and just continued on that path because I thought it's what I wanted, I liked it well enough, and we needed the financial aid money.

I just have a few classes to finish up my associates, but recently, I've been considering whether or not I want to continue on and get a B.A. in that, or switch it up entirely. I've been strongly considering Computer Science (higher pay, lower unemployment rate), but fear I'll have to take another 4 (or 5) years to do it. I'm not really sure. I've done all the generals required for Audio, but I don't know if it's the same for Computer Science. I'm already $20,000 in debt.

I'm fairly confident I can get a job (probably not in the same field) with my associates, but is it wise to switch it up if I think it'll be better in the long run?

You’re 20k in debt from a community college? If I were you, I’d get a job after the AA and pay off some debt before continuing on

If you think you’ll enjoy it more, then I don’t see a problem with it as a whole. The determining factor would be which school you go for computer science. If you go to a school that would allow you to work for one of the top companies then it might still be worth it because of the pay and benefits, but if it’s only slightly higher, then maybe it’s outweighed by the loan debt.
