It seems that this Friday, or tomorrow, will be the last day that OSU gets the decisions out (except for candidates it may waitlist, wo h then will only hear after 1st May).
So, all deferred candidates from ED and RD applicants who haven’t heard back yet can expect an answer tomorrow. Also, the number of admitted students and the number of accepts so far is significantly lagging behind the numbers from last year. This should likely mean that a lot of deferred candidates can expect good news tomorrow.
It seems from another thread a number of applicants have heard that they were waitlisted or denied. Probably those accepted will hear next, later this evening.

My d rejected with 31 ACT. 4 APs, varsity athlete. Tons of leadership and abroad program. Took college fashion courses. Nordstrom fashion board. Wrote letter after being deferred to state it was her first choice. Unreal.
@osuprof I know that in 2015 more or just about all students were admitted from the waitlist. Do you know the amount admitted from the 2016 waitlist? Please, your info is most insightful and appreciated!
@osumom33: if you were asking me, I really don’t know. Branch campuses rarely reject anyone (ones they reject probably don’t even have minimum high school credits in Maths or something else). If someone is waitlisted right now and then does not get admitted later to Columbus campus, I expect them to be given option for branch campus. So, those given acceptance at a branch campus right now are probably rejected from Columbus campus.
What I know for sure is that OSU wants more students at branch campuses and then more students doing a campus change later.
Makes sense, I understand being denied at columbus then being offered branch, however I didn’t know her common application automatically put in her app for a branch as she didn’t apply specifically for branch. and how the specific branch was determined (maybe by her major?) These are questions I will have her ask the admissions office.
