a bit unusual?

Does anyone think it's a little unusual that I have not heard yet??.... I applied during the last week of September for the college of education, and still have not heard anything. I have heard that PSU does not look at Education and Nursing majors until right before the deadline. Some of my classmates however have already heard from PSU college of education and nursing. I'm not sure if I should be worried or not, I guess I'm just getting a little nervous here. I've been getting the "You're application is being reviewed" status message since September 28th, it's been almost 4 months.

To be short, yes, you should be worried. I don't know what your stats are, but I don't think it would hurt to give them a call and inquire about the situation. I have heard stories of misplaced applications and other mistakes, so do contact them. If you everything is normal and you have a good gpa, above average sats, i don't think you should be concerned then, since you submitted the applications particularly early.

Absolutely. You're entitled to a conversation. These are good folks there, and while it's tuff handling the masses, that's their job. Just give them a call, and tell them you're concerned and need some perspective. Don't settle for a cursory answer either. And if you get it, call the College of Ed.

Don't pull out your guns, just be persisitent, mature, and get the answer you need. You're no drone.

hey. yeah i waited like 6 and a half months before i heard aweek ago. (augest 1st) my friend whos at psu main right now was in a similar spot like you, he got a letter about this time last year said they wont have his in before jan 31, he ended up getting into main mid feb. he was 2nd education too.

My d applied to nursing in early Nov and just heard this weekend that she was accepted. She called them about 10 days ago just to check that they had all her items - doesn't hurt and they were very nice on the phone.
