I applied with the Common Application Online for all of my schools, and gave the school report, mid-year report, and teacher evaluation forms to the proper school officials.

I expected every aspect of my application to be complete until I received an e-mail from 8/10 colleges I applied stating that my "secondary high school transcript" is missing.

I remember my guidance counselor re-assuring me that she sent the school report form (which includes her recommendation and transcript) quite awhile ago, but somehow the colleges still don't have it.

Since the school transcript is embedded with the guidance counselor recommendation in the school report form, does that mean that the schools are also missing my counselor recommendation?

(My gc gave a really, really good recommendation. It would be such a loss to me if they don't get it.)

email them...
None of us here are psychic.. so ask them

Also, double check that ur transcript went in the same envelope.
And it doesnt hurt to ask ur GC to photocopy the reco and send it again with more transcripts

I'd say send your GC an e-mail right away & let him/her know that 8/10 of your schools haven't received your transcript, so just to be safe could s/he please re-send the transcript & her/his wonderful recommendation to all 10 of your schools so they can give your aps the consideration they deserve? You can say you can't understand how the schools could have misplaced it, but it's so important for you & your chances that the schools promptly get this info so they can consider it. Tact is helpful, as well as positive strokes. I'd also list all 10 of the schools in the e-mail (noting the two who said they GOT everything).

If you have your GC's e-mail address, you should still be able to reach the GC via e-mail. You can e-mail each of your colleges & double-check about exactly what they have & haven't received & explain that your school is closed for a week & you'll be sure to work with your GC as soon as school resumes on 2/20 to get them their missing docs.
