The prompt:

[quote=UC, prompt #2]
Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud, and how does it relate to the person you are?

I'm a business economics major. In my first essay, I'll be talking about economics, business, and all that jazz. But for this essay, would it be wise to talk about me composing music? It's really my only talent/accomplishment/experience that's particularly important to me, and definitely the only substantial thing I've done that makes me proud.

But would this seem like too much of an off-tangent quality to the admissions readers? Composing music doesn't really make me a better economist, nor a better businessman, nor a more successful person in general. And I'm not applying as a music major, so it wouldn't really help the university or "music in general" in any way.

What say you?
