A Book is a Creative Work, correct?

On the common app, one of the essay questions (# 4) says:

Describe a character in fiction, a historical figure, or a creative work (science, music, etc.) that has had an influence on you and explain that influence.

A book is a creative work, correct?

yeah (10 chars)

bump?
I am a little paranoid...sorry:)

If that book really has influenced you and you make it your main focus - the adcoms sure won't act as nit-pickers and throw your essay into the garbage can screaming : "Ha, that fool - how could you expect us to read his essay? He wrote about a BOOK! Not a CREATIVE WORK!"

Oh, and by the way - I'd absolutely consider a BOOK a CREATIVE WORK!

hahah...thank you:)

Wouldn't a book also be considered "fiction", as well? (Yeah, I consider a book a "creative work". Unsure about auto/biographies, but that might go under "historical figure", if it's the person the auto/biography is based upon.

thanks! well, the book I wrote mine on is a novel, so I guess I am good to go....just a little neurotic.

Aren't we all ? ;)
