a brief history of CC

CC is great. who started it and when?
Just curious. Call me George.

it was started a few years ago by people who wanted to make a website to help students

That's all I know.. :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_Confidential

Founder: http://www.collegeconfidential.com/roger_dooley.htm

Think this is his picture:http://www.pubcon.com/bios/roger_b._dooley.htm

Should we even trust wiki? A couple of months ago I was looking at Stephen colbert's wiki entry and someone (I'm guessing the editors) indicated that Colbert recieved his college education at Nortwestern. Then someone corrected me on CC and told me that he recieved his education at Darthmouth (which is true, as I later learned). Point is, I'm a little skeptical about this whole wiki frenzy.

but there aren't many encyclopedias as famous as wiki.

Wikipedia is statistically shown to be over 90% accurate. That's 90 percentage points above what would've been good enough for me. :D

90% isn't 100% though :(

Nothing is 100%, Plus its free and gives you more info than any other encyclopedia without days of reading.

I know. I use it for all my reports for school.
I don't really care if the info is accuate or not. The teacher doesn't even read them.

If you scroll down a bit, there's a picture of Roger Dooley from a television interview.
http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_awards.htm

"a bit" ? It's like at the end of the page.

Real Colbert went to Northwestern. Fictional Colbert (the character) went to Dartmouth.

Elephant's right. I thought for a while he went to Dartmouth, but he actually graduated from Northwestern.

So Colbert is not really a Republican Conservative? Funny how this conversation went from History of College Confidential to Stephen Colbert.

please tell me ur kidding lol

Why does Bill O' Reiley take him so seriously then? If Colbert can fool him then he can fool us right?

I also hope you're joking, heh.
