A cappella?

I really would like to participate in a group, but I haven't sang/taken lessons since the sixth grade (I play an instrument now). Are there any groups on campus that are not too competitive / are more on the casual side? I don't mind if the group isn't "the best", I just would like to participate in an ensemble.

Thank you =)

There must be at least 10 A cappella groups on campus. You should be able to find one that matches you.

Haha, alright. Thanks.

How good of a singer do you have to be? I’ve always loved the idea and sound of a capella groups but I can’t sing. Anyone know if they have tryouts and the like?

I think all of the a capella groups have some form of try-outs, but you’d be able to pick what song you would like to sing for the try-out

Yeah there are a lot of groups on campus, I would just get in contact with them and find out what each of their requirements are.

Andy Bernard from The Office was in an a capella group at Cornell. So you should be able to find one

A lot of people enjoy the Chordials, which is a co-ed acapella group. If you’re a guy, you should check out The Hangovers, Cayuga’s Waiters, or The Last Call, they’re really great too =]

ha ha Andy Bernard Here Comes Treble
