So, I was wondering if you guys would care to help me out and chance me?

uw GPA: 3.64 w: 3.82

This could actually be higher as I'm not entirely sure about my school's policy with + and - yet, I need to ask the college counselor about that.

SAT scores are pretty good, but could be higher, I'm planning on taking them again:

Reading: - 630
Math: - 640
Writing: - 680
So a total of 1950...

German: - 710
English: - 740

I'm taking 3 APs this year and will be taking 5 next year, along with self-taught AP German. (I'm fluent btw )

My grades Junior year are lower than they should be, but I switched schools from the English system to the American, so the first semester was kind of an after-shock.

Will have 4 years of drama, both on and off stage, usually with main roles (I was also part of the theater society at my first high school)
Will have 4 years of art
Have been involved in MUN for 3 years
Part of Habitat for Humanity at my school

Your EC’s seem to indicate you probably are going to apply to Arts & Sciences? If so, I’d say you’ve got a great chance. GPA and SATs as they are should get you in. Just keep improving your GPA and, like you say, retake the SAT so you might have a chance at some merit money when you apply next year. Extracurriculars look good. Have you had a chance to visit Pitt yet? If so, what did you think of the campus?

Hey thanks! That’s reassuring to hear
And yes, I am planning to go into Arts & Sciences - most likely English but we’ll see.
I haven’t managed to visit the campus yet, but I’m planning to go this summer (I’m a junior btw) but I’ve been to Pittsburgh and thought it was an awesome city. Is it a nice campus?

I would guess you’d like it if you like Pittsburgh. Campus does have an urban feel, but nice that the Oakland area is really only Pitt/Carnegie Mellon campuses and not right downtown. Yet very easy to get downtown Pittsburgh as well by bus. See “Campus?” thread further down the page for comments about campus. Good luck with your college search and the remaining 1-1/2 years of high school!
