I am currently a rising senior and have a 3.6 UWGPA and 4.1 WGPA with a ton of IB classes and 2 AP courses. I'm planning to submit 5 SAT subject tests: Spanish, French, Japanese, Math II, and Biology. I got a 730 on Spanish and I feel confident that I'll get 700+ on the other languages. I'm uncertain about the Math and Biology though. I got a 1720 on the SAT, but I did mess up bubbling 2 sections. I'm hoping to get at least 2000 next time I take it. ECs include Beta Club, SNHS, NHS, Spanish Club, and Cross-Country. Leadership experience: club founder/copresident, SNHS officer, student council, and 2 years of ROTC. I've had some recognition for my Spanish in particular: SNHS, FLAG, GHP, NSE. I also started programming when I was 8. I'm an Indian male. I had a lot of struggles, so I think essays are good. I'm going to get a recommendation from an English (doctorate) teacher and my Spanish teacher. I want to go into Engineering/Computer Science as a major and minor in something related to language. I'm a Georgia resident. I'm looking into Georgia Tech, UC Berkeley, Caltech, UCLA, and NYU. What schools do you guys suggest?

bump Can somebody please chance me?

With your current scores and GPA, your chance is rather low in all these schools. On the other hand, you would better focus on a few subject tests to score them high instead of taking a bunch unless you are sure you can get 750+ on all of them. Otherwise, it is a waste of money and effort. They would only look at the top 2 or 3 mostly particular of you have mediocre scores. If you really want to try these schools, try to aim at 2100+ in SAT at the minimum. The problem is, you may get your score flagged since it is too much a jump from your previous score.

UMass Amherst…

If I pull my WGPA to 4.5 and my SAT scores to 2000+, do you think I have a legitimate chance of getting in to GA Tech? On a scale of 1-10?
