A Chime in from an observer who has been on this board for about 3 years.

So as I sit around and roam these boards, I come across soooo many threads like - "High school senior wanting to know where to get my PhD!" or "I got into Harvard and Stanford....which do I choose." From these I just wanted to make a thread dedicated to something which people certainly do say, but often is lost among the fray.

Go where you are happy! Go where you want to go! Don't look too far ahead (as impossible as it may seem on this forum)! If you're a senior in high school don't worry about grad school, a lot of people who come into college thinking they'd do grad school end up deciding a different route is better for them, heck most people change their majors.

I see these boards and sometimes am saddened about the amount of stress that comes from worrying about say grad school in high school. Yes It is important to try to figure out what you want to do, but realize that you are going to have to be flexible! You're most likely going to have to change, not everything is going to work out the way you see it.

Please for your sakes, allow sometime to sit back, reflect, and get some YOU time. Stress is all too hard on the mind body and soul.

Just something which I figured I'd say as a fellow workaholic who can confidently say that he has done more than the average college student in his thus far 3 year college career.

Sorry if this seems scattered in thoughts, but it's something that I couldn't wait any longer to say (and of course I have work to do! ;))

Thanks :).
