I am by no means looking down on anyone, and it's CHinese culture that ppl should be humble. I am posting this message for two reasons:
1. I need your advices and opinions
2. Show that A Chinaman's Chance has no longer the old hue of humiliation.

<p>Wow, just one more thing about the chinaman thing. I'm chinese. I don't take any offense to it. No one else should either. Shanghai just wanted some feedback. No one needs to feel threatened or whatever. Chill out. I know we're all pretty stressed out, but there's no need to feel that Shanghai was trying to show off or anything. His resume is awesome but not extremely different from other people's accomplishments. We are all awesome. :)</p>

I'm visiting from the harvard forum btw (harvard EA) so you know what kind of cat-fighting, cutthroat competition i've witnessed, you have a pretty standardly perfect record as far as your post goes. but the same for all colleges, it's really what makes you SHINE that will get you in-- and once you're in, it's that same originality that will carry you through to success.
don't use the word chinaman, or in connection with the phrase "chinaman's chance"-- like i said, summing up your heritage in such a connotative word does not bode well for yourself or others.</p>

For SexyDesi, reading your replies I get the overall feeling that your standard reply to every dilemma is "chill-out" and everything is "acceptable" and everyone is "cool". You are going to find when you leave high school, the world aint necessary that way all the time, and there are some thing worthwhile to take a stand on.</p>
