thx but anyone? Please......

bump, guys, help! thx!

Hey wes!
Haha... I think you have got it wrong... you are a greencard holder, while i am still in Shanghai... though we were classmates, we are not in the same app pool... i have never been to US... so that may affect the decisions in the admissions office... plus, you know, it is very very very very very very hard for a chinese mainlander to get financial aid in US colleges, about 10-20 each year!

If you want to know your chances, wait until mid-Dec and see your result of your EAs (MIT and CIT).

Dude, you've only been here for 3 years and you have a 760 Verbal, that is awesome.

thx cd8705; that score didn't come easy. I sacrificed a lot for that; I could've used the time to do other meaningful stuffs. There're other int'l kids who score higher than I do; for instances, you can see kids in India getting 1600, 1580, etc. And I mean that's what many kids with int'l backgrounds do. We study for SAT tests all day and memorize vocabs. But that way, we also miss out lots of LIFE. However, i have realized it and am now having more fun than ever before.

Btw, leebob600 is my classmate in China. He's applying to US colleges too and needs help from you guys. Please respond to his threads in the future! Thx a lot!

man... lots of local shanghaiese got 700+ in verbal...

I am not a little shrimp in the sea... I am applying for Dart this year... though i have tons of ECs, i wonder whether i can get in... my toefl is 660 and sat 650v 800m hehe...

Yay for fellow Chinese :)

Your stats look amazing! Like others have said, good job on the SAT verbal. It's a real toss-up at the big name schools, but you definitely have at least a fifty-fifty chance.

GOOD LUCK!! Let me know how you do.

yeah those bigname schools are really toss-up, like Ohio for Kerry/Bush.
Thx matheholic, and since I already turned it in, I just gotta cross my fingers and wait.
You guys have taught me a lot; and now I am much less nervous and stressed out as I used to be. Thx!
