a COMMON question

<p>Okay, so I'm all done with the Common Application except for one minor detail:</p>

<p>In the extracurriculars section, it asks: "Plan to join in college?" What specifically does that mean? For example, I'm involved with a food pantry here in Los Angeles, but if I go to an East Coast college, that food pantry won't be there. If I check the box yes, does that mean I plan to get involved with a food pantry near the college I go to? Similarly, I play tennis, but I don't want to be on a team, just intramural. Should I check yes?</p>

<p>Essentially yes. It is just asking if you plan to continue that activity in college. If you do check yes.</p>

<p>My daughter checked yes for volleyball, theater, Christian service-type activities etc even tho she will probably be out of state and will not be in our San Diego area. She too wants to play intramural. I assume that's what they want on the app--your interests.</p>
