- O-level done from BAhrain ( with 6 subjects) , now appearing in A-levels from pakistan , i want to know for equuivalace of A-levels from IBCC is it must to pass Urdu, Islamiyat, Pak.studies ??
- do we need to get equivalence of O-Levels now or better to get after A-level exams .
No, if you have the required documents that can prove you’re an overseas student, you are good with the 6 subjects. The details are on IBCC’s website.
It’s upto you. It’s advisable to get the OL equivalence beforehand to speed up the process. Otherwise there’s no harm in getting both of them at the same time.

- My son is born and raised in bahrain , but we are pakistani national living in bahrain . So urdu Pak studies and islamiyat is compulsory for A levels if appearing from pakistan . O level already done from abroad . I ll be so greatful for your reply .
- Is it true that equivallance certificate from ibcc has 3 months validity ?
Well I know a couple of people living in the gulf states and without having any nationality, they simply sent a copy of their passport as a proof of being overseas. If you can do that then your son is automatically exempted from giving the remaining two subjects. You should check out ibcc.edu.pk for more details.
No, equivalence is valid for lifetime. There’s no expiration.
Thanks for reply , it really help . I have thoroughly checked ibcc website , and spoke to ibcc equallance desk on phone , they said its must to pass other 3 subjects (urdu, pak studies, islamiyat) which is very difficult to clear now . As my son not good in even spoken urdu .
Hi there .
Basically i did my olevels in 2014 and 2015 . And my a levels in 2017. I have both equivalences. Now im planning to resit 3 subjects in my o levels . Using the grades of my 3 repeated subjects and previous grades of my other 5 subjects can i get a new equivalence. As in will there be any complication in this matter.
Waiting for a reply thanks
What about Canadian system? What will be deduction percentage and which subjects they need for assessment? Thanks
I don’t have any idea about it. You should call the IBCC office.
I am sorry for a late reply, I didn’t get the notification.
No, there won’t be any problem because they don’t care if you have gotten an equivalence before. Just take the old certificates and the new ones. Make sure to tell them that you repeated the subjects thus want the updated equivalence. The workers sitting there do non-sense stuff a lot of times.
Gotcha. Tysm
Do you think the university of below website and their certificates are valid .

Excuse me for posting such a long comment and taking so much of your time, but you are the only person whom i know has recently gotten their Equivalence certificate made so i badly need your help.
I am very confused between the two ways that the equivalence is calculated. Can you please observe the two ways of calculating the equivalence percentage that i use for my expected results and let me know which one of the ways were used on your equivalence certificate?
I have done my IGCSE and A-levels from Saudi so 5 subjects in Igcse and 3 in A-levels. (i haven’t gotten equivalence made for either of them yet)
IGCSE i have 315 which would either way be equal to 315/500 x 900 = 567 right?
and in A-levels if i score 2 D’s and an E = 155
So will my A-levels Equivalence be calculated like:
first way (103 + 567) / 1100 = 670
OR
Second way [(315 + 155) / 800] x 1100 = 646
Please apply both the ways to your grades and let me know which one they had used for making your equivalence. I highly appreciate your time and attention. Thank you.
I assume my message has already helped you out.
Hi,
Got 69% in Olevel IBCC equivalence.
1B 2D in Alevel.
What will be my equivalence for Alevel?
Please guide, thank you.
I am now in a big mess, didn’t give those 3 compulsory subjects. (pakistan studies, urdu, islamiat). Now need to give them first to attain equivalence, and papers are already finished. Dont understand, what I will be gonna do, BISE is going to issue me a letter sooner or later this month, for permission to pass. But at what time, gonna ask them…
I gave Urdu and Religious Studies in O level, still I have to give, (Urdu and Islamiat) with Pak studies?
It’s going to be 67%
Yes, sadly since you’re a pakistani national, you must give islamiyat, pak st and urdu in order to qualify for the certificate. Best of luck!
I have given my First o level in 2015 (Islamiat & Pak Studies). I goes for recheck for islamiat and my grade changed. I got the hard copy statement of result of the grade changed but not the certificate. This process was all done by school. Now when I get to know that the certificate is required for equilence, I don’t have it. Can I send them the changed statement of result with the letter which I received from british council but it’s not a hard paper? No one receives call at IBCC islamabad and I am from KHI and the board here is full of crap people.
Ok so i am overseas pakistani and have 7 subjects with 4A and 3A* so what will be my equivalence score . And if whether i can apply for equivalence certificate with provisional certificate
