So I think I heard somewhere that when you get to Berkeley they give you a CD with all their preffered security suites (anti-vir, anti-spy, firewall, etc). Does anyone know what these software are? Because I want to load them up right about now.

It's called the "BeSecure" cd.

I believe it's Symantec antivirus and firewall...100% useless and annoying as hell.

Crap. I hate Norton AV. I want to use AVG/Avast/Kerio instead dammit!

Symantec != Norton

Norton is the home edition of Symantec with more "user-friendlyness" and more crap.

Symantec AV is the corporate program but it's still annoying.

Firewalls and AVs are for people who don't have any common sense.

Yes, I'm sad to say Windows Defender is actually the best, it's the only AV program I've used so far that uses the least amount of system resources.

I agree with you on one point. Common sense > AVs

But porn > common sense

kidding there.. :p
