A couple of questions about Mechatronics.

<li><p>Is mechatronics a career field that an single individual could go into? Or is mechatronics the name for a field that requires multiple engineers from different disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, etc) all at once? I'm asking because of question number:</p></li>
<li><p>Is mechatronics a career field that one could get into if they go undergrad as an ME student and go to grad school for EE?</p></li>

<p>Mechanical E. is ridiculously broad. In some programs you can do this (Mechatronics) purely from the ME program. There are also separate Mechatronics programs, I know my university has one.</p>
