A couple of things im confused about

<p>Hi. Im getting ready to file FAFSA and Im a little confused here. Now as as a NYS resident I need to file TAP as well. Ok so heres what I got.</p>

<p>I (and my parents?) apply for a PIN for the fafsa.
Register a TAP PIN at Hesc as well.
File FAFSA after Jan 1
Link FAFSA to TAP</p>

<p>Is that correct? Also, what if my dad doesnt have all his taxes back and stuff yet? I think he said he doesnt get them til like the end of febuary and that will be too late already.</p>

<p>Correct. The Fafsa should be completed in early January before most of us have final financial information for the 2005 taxes. This must be done by estimation. It should be possible to estimate fairly closely and it may be necessary to submit a revision after April 15.</p>

<p>Alright thanks.. and the order I have things in is right? Also do both me and my parents have to get a TAP PIN as well?

<p>you had a question by parents and PIN.....they do need one too. You need two PINS: yours/your parents</p>
