A couple questions about financial aid/scholarships

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I have been looking around and I have not found much.

I will be entering community college next year and plan to transfer into USC for my junior and senior year.

First of all, are there any scholarships that I could get based on just my grades, ec's, etc... from community college?

Second, would I have any chance at receiving financial aid from USC? I live in Southern California (not too sure if that matters), my parents own a home, I'm an only child, and my father makes about 225-250k per year.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Well...if you are talking about needbased aid...with the income and assets you put in your post, need based aid would not seem likely to me. BUT you don't know if you don't apply.

Re: scholarships...no way of knowing without knowing YOUR grades, ec's etc.

And lastly, a question...why USC. The UC system offers many great college choices. If you are a resident of CA and attending one of their community colleges, I would suggest looking at the UC's for cost benefit...or one of the Cal States.
