Wow. If that's not enough then I think I'm failing at life

Yes, my GPA is weighted, I don't remember what it is unweighted. However, by the time I apply next year (after 1st semester senior year), I expect my GPA to be in the 3.67 range, because I try in my AP classes, and am taking 4 of them.

Also, can anyone chance me on Amherst, Williams, Middlebury, Villanova, Hamilton, Wesleyan, Wash U, William and Mary, and Johns Hopkins (I just visited these).

By the way, for anyone who reads all of these long long posts and responds, you have my sincere appreciation.

Also, I just found out that I'm a national merit commended final, although I doubt I'll be a semifinalist. I don't really know how this impacts the admissions process.

No one here can give you an accurate estimate for your chances. You can look through the admit threads for all the schools that interest you and see the average SAT/GPA/EC/etc and try to see if you fit any of those profiles. Doing that can only give you a rough estimate though because you don't have the whole story for everyone (income, family situation, essays, etc) and these aren't very accurate.

Your best bet is to cut down your chances thread to the main things you will be presenting a college about yourself and hope someone responds. Don't let these responses make you overconfident or discourage you from applying to colleges.

Well you have great test scores and pretty solid ecs and theres something to be said for that but i feel like people who have posted on this thread are over emphasizing those test scores and downplaying the importance of a high gpa i know when i posted my stats i caught some flack for having slighlty below average test scores for the top schools yet i have a pretty high gpa so i don't really understand why the people here aren't giving all that much weight to the gpa when i feel that that should be the main focus of one's college package
