Should I explain it to UC schools? Cause I have a couple, and they all happened during one time period of soph year. Of course I already submitted my app, so I was thinking of just sending letters...plus my junior and senior year grades are much, much better.

i don't think ur eligble w/ any d's

Ugh, that's what I've been hearing too...but been told otherwise. I really need to confirm this.

i am quite positive

"Courses used to satisfy the "a-g" requirements taken for the first time in the 10th-12th grades, in which D or F grades are earned, are treated as subject omissions and scholarship deficiencies. If the courses are not repeated, the D or F grades are used in calculating the Scholarship Requirement GPA."

Isn't it calculated in your GPA? I still have around a 3.5...
Plus UC's say we need 2 years of lab science. I have 5 years (Biology, Honors Chem, AP Bio, Physics, and AP Physics). I received an A in all except for the D's in Honors Chem and AP Bio...so would I still be eligible for credit?

I don't see why you wouldn't want to clearify what was happening as long as you have a reasonable reason for what happened. This can only help you, I dont see why you wouldnt.
