a D in PE?

I think I might be getting a D in a dance class I’m taking at a local junior college for PE credits at my high school cuz i’ve missed soooo many classes due to extra curricular stuff. Is this horrible? I’m a junior and I really wish i would have signed up to take this class credit/no credit but it’s too late now. Will this really hurt my chances at colleges?

nooo
gym sucks...my gym elective, fitness center workout, is taught by my lacrosse coach (and i just quit lacrosse)...needless to say i will not be getting an a...but it doesnt matter, gym is a joke

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, I did kinda bad my freshman year (only a cummulative 2.83) and have been going upward with my grades since then (got a 4.60 last semester). Do you think colleges will care that I got a D in PE my junior year? Or will this show that I have a lack of commitment or something?

(the comment on my progress report was "needs to be a team player"... and about half the class got the same comment. which confused me because the class is about working out in the fitness center? its not like we run holding hands on the treadmill...)

haha yeah. pe sucks. That's why I chose to take it at the JC rather than at school. I was just talkign a friend earlier abotu my situation and he FREAKED out. He told me that it really does matter, and the fact that I have one "W" on my JC transcript cuz a PE class last summer I wasn't able to finish only makes my situation worse. I hope this PE class doesnt completley ruin my chances....

masha...ur low freshman grades will be shown, but since u improved drastically, you will be at a plus. to tell u the truth..i dont think any college decides ur accetpance soley on freshman year, haha. dont worry. i bet ur gpa is around the 4.0 area which is good. ur improvement will basically put u at good chances anywhere

my grades have improved a lot since frosh yr in general, haha and i think theres gonna be a drastic uprise this year halfway through my junior yr... this is good right?? better to improve than get worse....

also i got 99% PSAT scores, while my grades are probably more Bs than As...does this make me look like a total slacker?? (I'm working much harder this term.. and i will have more As for the rest of my junior year i'm sure)

I don't think colleges give a hoot about PE. I got straight C's in the bloody subject and UVa didn't seem to care - I still got in.

Most colleges recalculate GPA's with only core courses, so PE doesn't really matter much.

Many colleges look at sophomore and junior year and with the direction grades are going (preferrably up.) Your concern about PE should be will if affect my class ranking (this is where the freshman and elective grades can sometimes be felt.) If, how and how much this could affect your class rank, should be discussed with your advisor. Missing classes (committments) for extra curriculla stuff is something to avoid, don't join to many clubs your freshman year of college.

It's not going to affect my class rank at all. Any classes I take at the Junior College get put on my transcript but do not get calculated into my overall high school GPA or anything. They're just there.

So, I should be fine u think ?
