A D in Second Semester??

I'm a high school senior currently taking 3 AP classes, one of which is AP Calculus. I got a C last semester in that class, and I have a pretty big chance of earning a D this semester. Eek!! >.<

I'm wondering if this will affect my chances with the colleges that have currently accepted me. These include:
1. Santa Clara University (Honors)
2. Willamette University
3. University of Southern California (USC)
4. University of Washington (UW)
5. University of Oregon - Clark Honors College
6. Carnegie Mellon University*
*I'm actually in their waiting list right now, and I haven't heard back from them yet even though they already sent a financial aid estimate (whaaaat???? does that mean I got in?).

Other random (hopefully useful) facts:
- I took 4 AP classes last year.
- I had a C second semester for pre-calculus last year.
- My current GPA is at a 3.76.
- My unweighted rank is 56, and my weighted rank is 14.
- My highest combined SAT score is 2240 or 1520, whichever scale you use. My ACT score is a 33.

1) Talk this over with your guidance counselor. He/she may have advice for you. And while you are in there, ask why on earth he/she enrolled you in AP Calculus when you had a C last year in pre-Calculus?

2) Talk this over with the teacher. Find out what you need to do to keep your grade up as high as possible.

3) Pick up the phone and call CMU. Probably the financial aid office is just getting ahead of the admissions office. They may want you to know what your aid would be like IF you get off the waiting list. For some applicants this information would be critical to their decision about whether or not to stay on the waiting list.
