A D in summer school "ENRICHMENT" program-effect on college applic

since i have to report this D as well will this have a significant blow on my chances in getting into a UC -like Davis , Irvine, LA , etc
i had the worst teacher from my school teaching me calculus in summer school :(

it was an enrichment course
i'm trying to get this grade removed but i'm preparing for the worse :</p>

feedback plz thx ;)

bump keeping the thread alive

bumpssssssssss

It depends...is that the only D you have?
I don't know about LA and Davis, by Irvine is a little easier...it might be okay...

yes that is the only D i had in my whole transcript

i'm just really sad right now :( i'm trying to wipe it off my record but my counselor said it can go either way
so i'm so sad right now :(

well, if its only one D and you have a decent GPA, Irvine would be fine, I'm sure. I don't think you have to worry THAT much, it was only an enrichment course. You took calculus during the year also, didn't you?

yea i'm taking it this year (senior year) and i'm getting a B+/A- average in calc
i was taking the course in the summer and screwed up bad. I regret even taking it

haha...well...fight for that A, because I don't think UC's count + or -'s when they calculate your GPA. Californian residents have an edge over non-residents, but I bet you already knew that...

yea but a fat D on the transcript isn't something good to look at :/

lol...try posting in a different forum...there are probably more focused people there to help. :p

k i'll do that lol thanks for ur help though :-P

I never heard of an "enrichment" program with grades. I thought that an enrichment program, by definition, is noncredit.

i don't know but apparently they do give grades! It wasn't like i was repeating calculus so i found it unfair T_T
