a degree from harvard....school of continuing education

Indeed. It’s actually an ALB (Latin is “backwards”). They offer masters degrees, as well. ALM (versus MA). They are Harvard Universities degrees (HU on your diploma). The Extension School is one of 13 schools under the Harvard University umbrella (Harvard College, Med School, Law School, JFK School of Govt, etc). I am working toward a ALB their and hope to do a ALM, too. It has no connection to BU and their night school (the Metropolitian College).

Hey Everyone! I know this is mostly about graduate work. I do have q question though. I have the chance to do my undergrad at either Arizona State University or Harvard Extension School. I am 26, money is not a huge issue and I am looking for the best education I can get. I have already taken classes at HES and loved it. That being said, I would like to go to law school. So if given the chance which school would be better to get my undergrad in and which one, grades and LSAT score permitting, would give me the best chance to get into a top tier law school?

The Harvard Extension School has sent students to good law schools.

This exchange recently took place at extensionstudent.com

“I am currently enrolled at a T25 law school.”

“What Law School are you attending?”

“I don’t want to say at this time, but let’s just say it is a damn good school and considering my less-than-stellar LSAT score and “barely cum laude” GPA, I can tell you that HES and its professors carried a lot of weight in my application package.”

Thanks for the response Rags. I appreciate the help. I called a good amount of law schools including Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, Georgetown and the consensus seems to be that it is not where you go but what you do when you are there. All information is greatly appreciated.
