<p>Congratulations Saer, that is fantastic news-- I am so happy for you and know you will love it! Are you entering as a sophomore or freshman? By the way, I think applications to Choate actually increased this year (according to a recent Choate newspaper article), though not reflected here on CC.</p>

I am insanely excited…!</p>
<p>I applied as a sophomore, with full FA. It was scary, because after making those decisions, I came on CC and saw how most people said- oops, bad idea, it’s harder to get in that way. But I did it! And I’m sooo happy!</p>
<p>I’m choosing Choate for a lot of reason. It really has nothing (and I mean NOTHING) to do with prestige. Between Exeter and Choate, it’s more of a feeling, a personal vibe I got through this process.
Choate has constantly reached out- the volleyball coach called me in September, and we’ve emailed for months. He called my mom about an HOUR after we found out! And the student I toured with has always been so nice when I’ve had questions, and so has my interviewer.
Exeter hasn’t made any contact since my interview. And I know that they are a huge school, with huge numbers of applicants- who am I to say I deserve any contact? But a big thing for me is being welcomed into the community, especially as a new sophomore.
And Choate’s campus was gorgeous even in the pouring rain to me. And I saw EVERY building that interested me, because I got a one-on-one tour. Exeter paired me with another family and I got to see dance studios, when I’ve never danced in my life. It happens, though.</p>
<p>Those are just some of my reasons! I’m super excited and thanks to everyone!~!!</p>

<p>Oh, and I was waitlisted at Andover! Haha, 'tis all good. I’ll be calling them today or tomorrow saying I’m giving up my spot.</p>
