A few couple of basic math questions.

So lets say I have the function of f(x) = 3x + 1

What would move the function to the right, left, up, and down? I forgot how to do this.

For the SAT, what kind of information would I need to know about parabolas and other functions on graphs?

I could tell you but you would have trouble remembering it.
How about try it on your calculator to see what each thing does.

try 3(x+1)+1, 3(x-1)+1
or other things that might affect the graph.

Know transformations I suppose. What would happen to y = x^2 if you make it y = (x-1)^2, or y = x^2+1, or y = 1/2(x)^2. I don't remember any questions on parabolas though on the actual test. If you know your graphing calculator and how to do parabola problems on it, then you are all set.
