A few course questions...

I'm still not certain on my schedule for the next semester, but I wanted to knock off one of my liberal arts requirements for an Arts and Sciences degree, so I chose History 1511 (Europe from 1500-present or something like that..) and it seems that this is a continuation of Fall 2011's History 1510. Would it be allowed for me to take 1511 without having taken 1510, or is this more of an arbitrary chronological separation than a requirement? On the course roster, it lists no requirements for 1511, but they may be listed somewhere else. Also, if I am able to do 1511, is there any way I could find the book list for the class ahead of time? Because I've looked at past syllabuses for this course and I own several of the peripheral books and would rather not have to have my parents ship them once I get there.

Thanks for any help.

I looked at the Courses of Study and the classes look unrelated and more important, 1511 doesn’t list any prerequisites.

Unfortunately the Cornell Store seems to have changed its website. You used to be able to pretend you were a professor and look at past books used in the course, but I don’t see a way to do that anymore.

Keep in mind, you almost never need any books the first week of classes so by the time the book list is published, you should have 3-5 weeks to obtain those books.
