Hey everyone! I’m a high school junior from a small public school in northern New Jersey who is the middle of his college search and I couldn’t be more excited to visit Fordham in two weeks. Everything about the school seems so great! The opportunities truly do feel endless. I just have a few questions, specifically about Fordham’s Communications and Media Studies Department. Can anyone tell me what the program is like? What kind of classes do you take? (Is there a lot of math?)
I’ve been told that Fordham was a great place for people looking to pursue advertising because of their internship opportunities. However, on their website, the communications concentrations are listed are Film, Journalism, MCS, New Media/Participatory Media, and Television/Radio. Which one of these would allow me to take courses in things like copywriting/art direction? Do you have to choose one of these concentrations? How easy is it to get an internship in this field?
Also if anyone could tell me a little bit about the social life, that would be beyond awesome. All replies are greatly appreciated!
