<p>I am reauditioning in 9 days at UMiami for vocal performance and I am probably more excited than when I first went overseas. haha. I mean, I just want to get in.</p>
<p>Last year, I did get in and chose regretfully not to go. This year, if I can get in again, I'd love to go. I had no idea of its reputation until months after (I hadn't ever heard of the program until about a month before I auditioned.)</p>
<p>Now, I will be down there for a few days after my audition, do you think I should sample a lesson with a teacher? I've heard so many people say this is highly advised and almost vital to choosing a school for a voice major? If so, does anybody have recommendations on who would be a good tenor voice teacher? (I've already looked up Dr. Alt.)</p>
<p>Also, I guess as I said before, Frost's program really is highly regarded, but...how much so? Is it just a <em>good</em> program or is it as highly regarded as other conservatories like BoCo? I guess it doesn't matter since it has the same curriculum, and the give $$ in the end LOL.</p>

<p>Quit worrying about reputation of the program. Miami has a very well respected program. You are right to be thinking about teachers. The problem with scheduling a lesson right before your audition is that, if the teacher has suggestions, you don’t have time to incorporate changes into your rep at that point so all you have accomplished is eroding your confidence. Wait to see if you get in and then schedule a lesson. BoCo is better known on this board, but most northeastern schools are better known on this board - that doesn’t mean anything. BoCo has largely become best known for MT. If you talk to people out there performing, you will hear wonderful things about teachers at schools that you have never heard of and you will hear terrible things about teachers at the top conservatories - you have to find what is best for you.</p>

<p>Jeremy, there isn’t much to tell you that you haven’t already heard a dozen times in response to your other posts. IF you can schedule a trial lesson for after your audition, try to do so. My son did that at a couple of places and found it helpful to get a sense of the faculty. </p>
<p>Do you know anything more about Frost than you did last year? What do YOU know about the voice faculty? Have YOU heard anything from anyone about specific teachers you might want to consider? YOU are the one applying there…and it’s the second time. </p>
<p>What do you remember and what did you learn about this school last year when you were making your college decisions? And what exactly are you looking for? </p>

<p>Thumper says it well…we do not know what YOU are doing to research your options and make a decision with which you might be content. You seem to be flailing with every question you ask, jeremybeach. Our collective advice has not registered with you thus far, and it is very frustrating to maintain the dialogue. Of course, we all wish you well, but you need to take settle down and take charge.</p>
<p>jeremy, a number of people on this forum have taken the time to attempt to offer answers, provide insights, suggest plans of action to the numerous and often repetitious questions you’ve posed. Many of your queries addressed information that could easily have been gleaned from school specific websites or documents.</p>
<p>I agree with lorelei and thumper and repeat that YOU need to come to grips with what YOU need and the steps needed to achieve YOUR goals.</p>

<p>What do you get when you combine being 1 hour late (due to rush hour traffic,) having a sore throat and a 102 fever? (oh and nerves too?) Lol…I tried my best but I’m not so sure of how it’ll go.</p>
<p>The sightsinging/ear training/ Theory tests were fine, people were nice, I just was a little bit too under the weather/late lol.</p>
