A few questions about Gtown...

So a few questions…any help would be much appreciated. Feel free to answer one, some, or all of these questions.

What’s the social scene like on campus? Are there parties over the weekend? I know that DC is awesome for clubs and what not, but I’m interested in learning about what actually happens on campus itself.

Has anybody seen the new MSB building? Any impressions?

How easy is it to transfer between schools? In particular - MSB to SFS. I’ve heard that if you write over the summer to the admissions office, you can enter SFS as a freshman. Can anyone provide advice here?

Here’s a link to the jobs SFS grads landed in 2008:

Since the data on International Economics majors is somewhat lacking - does anybody know where those grads end up? Investment banks? Grad School? Consulting?

Can you double major between schools? How about a major in one school and a minor in another school?

THANKS!!!

Here’s an answer for #2: live feed of the building, which is nearly complete!

I saw the outside of it at the GAAP weekend. Beautiful!

can anyone answer #3?
I got accepted as MSB, but I really kinda wanna switch my major as SFS too.

If you are interested in transfering schools, contact your regional admissions officer.

Can’t double between schools, but can minor in another (minoring in SFS is a pain though)

It isn’t actually possible to receive a formal minor in the SFS. There are certificates, though: [GU: SFS: BSFS: Certificates](http://www3.georgetown.edu/sfs/bsfs/certificates/)

Thanks! Anyone else have any advice?!?

I know two IEcon majors from the Class of 2008 well enough to know what they do. One is an investment banking analyst for Merrill Lynch, the other is a consultant for Bain & Company in San Francisco.
