Hey, I'm David. I just applied to Ole Miss a week ago (originally as a safety school). I started doing a lot of research on Ole Miss, and it climbed to 2nd on my list. (After the University of Tennessee). I have a feeling It's going to become my number 1 school just based of $$$ and my chances of getting in.

I just wanna know...would a Jewish student fit in well in Mississippi? I know the state of Mississippi has very little Jews, but im just curious if i'll fit in. I'm a proud Jew, but I don't flaunt it around everywhere.

I'm very a conservative republican, so I think I'll fit in politically with Ole Miss (I heard it's very conservative) and my major will be political science.

Also, i live in N. Carolina, but i moved down from NYC my freshman year in HS, so just curious, will a damn Yankee like me fit in? :P

So much of “fit” is determined by your attitude. I spoke briefly to one of my daughters about the Jewish community at Ole Miss. She suggested that you contact the following to get a true picture (I apologize…it did not copy and paste well). Hope this helps!
