A few questions about Rutgers New Brunswick

I was wondering how the Rutgers New Brunswick business school is because I've been accepted there. I have a few days to make my decision, so I was thinking of enrolling there. I applied to a group of top notch business schools and was wait-listed from many of them: (BC CSOM, Stern, etc.)

Does Rutgers match the rigor or academic competitiveness of those schools? I mean, does it even compare to those schools? Or is it out of their league?

As far as financial aid is concerned, I have to pay $12,000 after all the grants and financial aid because I'm an out of state student. Should I contact and try to compromise my financial aid with Rutgers? (My Stats: 2140 SAT, 89 GPA)

The Rutgers business school is decent. They have some good connections, etc. I think it is a notch below Stern, etc… but not by much.

According to Businessweek ([The Top Undergraduate Business Programs](http://bwnt.businessweek.com/interactive_reports/undergrad_bschool_2009/)), Stern is ranked 15 in 2009, and Rutgers is 56.

If you are not planning to go to graduate school, try to go to a top business school. Stern is worth the extra money if you want a job in business after graduation.

Proximity to NYC and being the NJ Business School means that Rutgers BSchool doesn’t have terrible placement into top banks and firms in NYC and pharmaceutical companies in NJ. Its not Stern, Ross, Haas, or Ivy though.

yeah we’re not talking wharton-level prestige here, but rbs has some really good recruiting, which is a plus. it also has a reputation of being one of the more competitive schools here at rutgers, so it’s not too bad.
