I just got a 1940 on the Official SAT Online Course Pretest (660 CR 620 M 660 W: MC=59, Essay=10)
I was wondering how accurate the practice tests are. Like, if I were to take an actual SAT could I expect similar results?
And also, I really, really want to score 2300+ (but i'll be pleased with 2200+)
I am a Sophomore planning to take the SAT in June.
On a practice test I took a few weeks ago I got a 1660 so I went up a bit :).
And i was also wondering how possible is it to raise my score in the next 5 or so months to the 99th+ percentile?
thanks for reading

I assume CollegeBoard pretests are pretty similar to CollegeBoard tests. They want their students (ahem: CUSTOMERS) to keep buyingn their products, right?

As for your score, there's no need to score 2300+ or even 2200+ as a sophomore. Don't stress about it; just focus on doing your best for now and approach each test as a learning experience to help you do better in your junior and senior years, when your SAT performance will matter more.

I'm a Sophomore too in almost exactly the same situation. Except I scored 2000 (670CR, 590M [67M on PSAT, so I'm not too worried about that one], 740W) on a BB practice test and want a 2390 :) lol

Anyway, although you may be able to brag to your friends that you got a 2350 in your Sophomore year, colleges couldn't give a crap when you got your score. (NY's NMS cutoff has been around 219 recently, so your preparation surely won't be in vain). 99th Percentile, according to Collegeboard.com, starts at 2200. And yes, it's possible for you to get that by May, but, like I said. Harvard isn't going to say, "a 2350? Impressive. AND A 2200 AT 16?? Let's have Jennifer Lopez jump out of a cake to give him his acceptance letter!"

hahahaha godfatherbob
anyway i just want to get the SAT's out of the way
but assuming i don't score at the 99th percentile this june i want to have more opportunities to retake it

btw i'm gonna be 15 during the June 7th SAT
My birthday is June 8th! :D lol
