Hey, so I recently got waitlisted at some schools and I had some questions about how I should go about them.

How exactly does correspondence work? From the information I have gathered, this should be a LOCI maybe every 2 weeks. Some of my unis have specific waitlist forms and they don’t recommend sending any additional updates beyond those in the form. Does that mean I shouldn’t email admissions after submitting my waitlist response in those cases?

Before getting my decisions, I received a few awards that I emailed the schools about. Out of them, only 1 formally confirmed that the update had been received. Would it be harmful if I reiterated those awards alongside some other stuff in my waitlist correspondence for that specific college? What about the rest of the colleges that did not email me back with confirmation of receipt? The awards were all national level if it matters.

What should I ideally talk about in the LOCIs that I send to unis that do accept them? I was thinking along the lines of why I would like to attend that uni, application updates, etc. Basically, just demonstrated interest and additions to applications? Is this the right way to go about it?
Thank you for reading. I know the questions are quite muddled but I hope that someone can shed some light on these issues for me. I’d appreciate it!
