Hi! I'm a high school junior and just visited the campus and absolutely loved it! I would love to get some student feedback on some questions I have-any input is appreciated!

I posted an earlier question about which dorm would be best for me and I mostly got recommendations for Stevenson and cowell. What are those colleges like? (dorms, people, social scene, proximity to food)

I'm very unsure about whether I would like a triple, quad, or double. The rooms with more than one other person appeal to me because there is a higher chance that I'll find someone that I get along with but does that outweigh the negatives? Also, are the triples and quads significantly bigger than doubles?

FOODFOODFOOD. how is it?:)

Any answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone has any other advice/fun facts that'd be great! Thanks!

Dorms are on the older side. I was in Stevenson and the hallways felt a bit cramped. Social scene is good. People are of all types, though there’s a slight lean toward humanities majors from what I’ve seen. Their dining hall is open every day, but closes at 7. It’s pretty much placed in between the two colleges. For late-night eating you’re a 10 minute walk from 9/10, whose dining hall is open until 11pm.

You’ll likely get placed into a double. Triples and quads are rare. I think there is an average of one triple per floor, and one quad per dorm house. Both are significantly bigger than a double. You won’t feel cramped at all. I was in a (small) triple last year and a quad this year, and I definitely like the dynamic that comes from having more than one roommate.

Ehh. Varies. 9/10 is open the latest, but has little variety. Junk food week round and if you’re lucky, one or two other dishes. The other dining halls have all been very good from my experience. Menu switches out a lot from week to week and I never feel like I’m eating the same food too much. Nor do I get tired of the food in general. It’s pretty consistently good. It’s especially nice because it seems like the menu planners get bored too, every now and then something completely new comes along that is an absolute treat.
