A few questions on the admissions scoring system

How many digits are considered in the conversion of a UC GPA to the 4500 possible points? Is rounding used? Would a 3.947 be rended as 3950 or 3947?

For leadership points, would co-editor of the school paper or team manager of a sports team be alloted leadership points?

Would a national championship first place finish in a non-school sport garner the full points for special talents (along with related activities and lesser awards)?

For classes above the minimum, how many points for each additional class and at what number of classes do the points start (if not at 31)?

i think it would be considered 3947.. but i dunno.

UCSD Freshman Comprehensive Review Process (Dec 2004)

Thank you, Skatj

That answers all but the first question, concerning the precision of the GPA used for the calculation. Anyone know that answer?

they wont round....
because 3947 is still a whole number. There's no decimal, it doesnt raise uncertainty so why would they round it.

Plus if it was rounded, u'd get 3 points. Big deal.
