Hey everyone this is my first post, I am a senior in Highschool and have a few questions.

What types of engineers are best if you want to work for a big company (Sony, Microsoft, Apple, etc.) other than software engineer?

Which have the best salary right out college other than Petroleum Engineering?

Which has the max salary after 10-15 years+ other than Petroleum Engineering?

What are the pros and cons of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering?

Is there an advantage of moving to the US (salary, more jobs, etc.)?

Is it a good idea to get a MBA after some work experience?

What are some good minors in college? I was thinking either Math, Physics, or Computer Science…

Which deals with renewable/alternative energy?

And finally, which is best if I was to start my own company?

Electrical
....Nuclear by far
Nuclear again
5.Depends from where...
6.If you want to do project managemnet
7.All those are popular.'
8.Mechanical and Electical
0.None

There are plenty of big companies in all fields.

Probably chemical engineers working for oil firms.

Probably the same answer as Q#2.

It depends on what you're interested in studying.

Too many variables with not enough information.

Depends on what your career goals are.

Good for what? You don't get any benefits because you have a minor usually.

Mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials

Depends on what kind of company you want to start.

Apple, etc. hire EEs and firmware engineers in addition to software engineers.

Depends on many things, such as where you're coming from, how comfortable you are with American customs and the English language, and so forth. Keep in mind that there are software jobs that are moving out of the US to countries where the work can be done for less money.

Probably computer or electrical...

Most engineers make around 50k starting. Petroleum and chemical boast the highest average starting salary.

To whomever said starting salary of nuclear engineers is by far higher than any other besides petroleum, you are mistaken.

Toward the bottom is the average starting salaries for engineers.

Look for yourself at the site.

That can be very subjective depending on what you are more interested in doing.

Depends on where you live. The U.S. has a shortage of engineers so getting a job may be easier than where you are now depending where you are...

That is also subjective depending on what you want to do. Its beneficial if you want to do management...

Most engineers can do a math minor with very few extra courses though its not really that beneficial in my opinion. A CS minor can be useful for an EE. Otherwise minors are not that important in engineering in my opinion.
8.I don't know sorry.

Get a software engineering degree (or to a lesser extent, computer engineering) and start a consulting company. I can't advise you on any other area of engineering for entrepreneurship.
