A few specific questions

I've read that they auto-reject around 500 applicants that haven't followed their instructions. they mean business.

Alright, phoned them. They said its fine as long as I can get everything done by spring but I must provide details of my plan to complete those courses

And oh, I went through all of the schools on my previous list again and I can't agree more with your selections brand.

Penn Wharton - ridiculously tough to get into...won't have calc 2 done before application deadline anyways...

Stanford - Ok they accept around 4% of all transfer students...no show here..

Only debate I have right now is whether to apply to chicago or northwestern. i mean, chicago hasan awesome program but i have heard students seemed to be really miserable there. I know i am crazy for a good econ program but from what i heard from others, chicago sounds like a hell hole...

Oh one more question, I decided to drop chinese 3 and 4...do you think that it might seem as if i wasn't persistent and dedicated enough to the adcom? ok..i am like really paranoid here...

Northwestern and Chicago are very different. Both have excellent econ programs and you can't go wrong either way. Chicago's is arguably the best in the nation, but it's not like you'd be screwing yourself if you chose NU instead.

Chicago's pretty tough on grading too...I hear grad schools recognize it as a difficult school, but that will only give you so much leeway on your GPA.

Does that mean you have 2 W's now? I would avoid getting any more. My general philosophy is that 1 is fine, two is pushing it, and three will raise suspicion and require some sort of explanation.

Oh no, I have none..i haven't enrolled in 3 and 4. its just that I took 1 and 2 and not taking 3 and 4 may seem a little wishywashy to them.

If it makes you feel any better, I haven't taken a foreign language class at my college yet. You've taken Chinese 1 and 2. For my sake, I hope you're fine. ;)
