a figure skater's chances...

<p>hi!!
I am a white female at a very very competitive private school in montreal, quebec. I am currently visiting universities to prepare myself for my senior year so i won't be rushed. i have done a lot of research on princeton and i love this school. it seems perfect for me. anyways, here is my short resume, and give me any feedback you have!</p>

<p>Course-load(sophomore year):
honours math
honours french
english
honours history
Honours physics
Honours chemistry
music</p>

<p>average: 92.5/100 (the highest mark in the class in 95/100)
rank: 8/92</p>

<p>ECs:
-Jazz band (3 years on clarinet)
-Concert band (4 years on flute)
-Starting on piccolo for band (will end up playing 3 years in total)
-Model UN (2 years)
-Jeunes Democrates (young democrates)
-Competitive figure skating (11 years):
major commitment=4 days a week for training
7 competitions a year</p>

<p>Summer activities:
-Counselor for 3/4 year olds
-Harvard Summer School next summer</p>

<p>Volunteer work:
-Assistant coach for learn to skate program(3 years)
-helped organize a charity fundraiser for victims of war in israel
-Jane Goodall Institute
-helped out with national debating tournament
-i give student tours in my school for open houses</p>

<p>Awards:
-High Honour Roll (90%+) (3 years for every term)
-Junior Figure Skater of the year (2005)
-Dedication and determination skater (2003)
-Junior Bronze Skater
-Provincial honour band nomination (3 years)</p>

<p>I am taking the PSAT this October and my goal is to score a 2200.

<p>Keep taking the hardest classes at your school. Keep getting grades. Won't hurt to do even better.
Start studying for the SAT and take it in January or April of your junior year. Good luck!
Your extracurriculars look good--make sure to put figure skating at the top of the list on the college application. Here you've kind of squeezed it in with everything else. Show your passions clearly!</p>
