I haven't received any of my financial aid either. I have no registration blocks or anything that would point to not receiving it, so I don't know what's going on. The only reason I've waited this long to take care of this is because I assumed nothing would be wrong, seeing as how there's nothing pointing to a problem. I emailed the FAO and got a response saying that I may need to fill out a G-6 form, which I've never heard of or had anything ever mention it. After googling the form, it looks like something I would of been mailed to check my eligibility. Likewise, it's a form I would have to send in, and with CARs being due tomorrow there's no way I would be able to pay the balance myself. With California Student Aid Commission already saying that my award has been awarded and with no messages or anything regarding blocks or problems, I'm still confused as to why I would have to fill this form that's never been mentioned before.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Should I be worried about not receiving my aid? I've tried calling the office, but it's so backed up that I can't even get on hold.

I tried calling the office today as well, but was not able to get through. I have no registration blocks, am enrolled in at least 6 units and have no forms to fill out; I do not see why my financial aid hasn’t arrived. When I emailed the office, I got an instant reply saying I would get a response in 4 to 6 weeks. I seriously hope they are joking.

I drove out to Berkeley today to talk to Financial aid. I was told there system went down back in December or sometime during the end of the Fall semester and thats why some aid has not paid out yet.
She told me to be official enrolled I need to have at least paid $1100( Which she claimed is the magic number to be enrolled). So I had to go to Billing and pay $20 bucks so I could be official enrolled. She said as long as I had paid that “magic” number of $1100 I would be refunded once financial aid was paid out. She told me then not to worry about tomorrows payment due date. But after I paid it showed up in the internal computers that I was enrolled, and I was able to purchase my parking permit.

I have scholarships for the whole aount, I BROUGHT THEM a $3000 check for an outside scholarship in November, and STILL it shows that nothing has been paid. Nothing was ever noted on my account as a problem, not ever. So now I have to borrow $1100 from my parents to pay tomorrow so my classes are not dropped and who knows if it will ever be refunded. All due to a computer system glitch on their part. I find this out after three hours on hold today. I’m transferring to UCLA junior year and will be glad to get out of here. My bro goes to UCLA and no problems like this EVER.
