So here is my dilemma. On this link it says that certain sciences with prerequisites can count for other classes: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/subject_reqs.html

So freshman year I took biology, sophomore, physics, and junior year, ap bio (which has biology and chemistry as prerequisites) so since I am in ap bio, does that count as ‘chemistry’ like they say allowing prerequisites?

Sorry for grammar/spelling mistakes, this is from an iPhone.

no, AP Bio does not count for Chem. Sorry. (you missed the portion which said it must"offer additional substantial material…"

btw: not all high schools require Chem prior to taking AP Bio.

Oh ok, hat does it mean by that? New info to the chemistry or…

Oh ok, well mine does so yea… Lol

No, what it means is that AP Chem counts for two years of chem for purposes of a-g (if you don’t have any chem credit). Ditto AP Bio, which counts for two years of Bio (if you don’t already have bio credit). This is just like taking Alg II as a Frosh in HS. UC just assumes that you already completed Alg I in middle school.

What AP Bio does not do is count for one year of Intro Chem credit.

Note, even though your HS may require Chem prior to AP Bio, Collegeboard does not.
