You’re very welcome! We are in the lovely Middle TN area, so an easy 3 1/2 hour ride to T-Town.

I’m sure M2CK will jump in to clarify, but I’m not sure what the process is for the extra $2500 engineering scholarship.

RobD what is your D’s future plans? Law maybe…My son is thinking of double majoring in Poly Sci/History or Anthropology or International Business. He REALLY needs to talk to an advisor and see if any of these combos are possible. He’s coming in with lots of AP/DE credit also. He will have credit for his 101,102,121,122 . He also should have all english classes with credit and calculus credit as well as geology, psychology, government and bio. He’s hoping to go on to Alabama’s law school. Just thinking if your D is thinking along the same path?

When you apply to school and apply for scholarships during the normal fall period, the engineering scholarship is automatically given. However, for the few students that have applied lately that qualified, they directly wrote to engineering and was awarded it.

BamaFana: Law school is a “maybe.” She thinks she wants to teach BUT…she’s been involved in Mock Trials in HS. During competition this year, she apparently had a couple of great cross examination moments (I wasn’t there to see) and someone asked if she was considering law school. She hadn’t and it kind of came as a surprise idea to her (I think because she was so medically focused up till this year.) So who knows? She’s planning on joining the pre-law group so she can continue with Mock Trials.

RobD, my S will also be joining the pre-law group! That’s GREAT! I’m sure they will know each other.
