A good Engineering school

How does WPI stack up to schools like MIT and Cal tech. Is it national recognize. Can I go to a good Business School with a engineering degree at wpi? Does it have a good Electrical Engineering program.
I AM SO CONFUSEED ABOUT THEE COLLEGE I SHOULD APPLY TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sry... I don't really know the answers to your questions... Obviously MIT and Cal Tech are better known, but many people I have talked with have said that they would rather have an employee from WPI than MIT b/c at WPI it is more of a practical education. WPI students get a lot of hands on work even beginning freshman year. I don't know if WPI is nationally recognized, I live in MA and everyone here knows it and they all say it is a great school. In U.S. News' magazine of the top schools in the country, WPI ranked 53rd for National Universities. Cal Tech and MIT were tied for 7th on that list, so yes they are higher. This list is determined by:
Peer Assessment 25%
Retention 20%
Faculty Resources 20%
Student Selectivity 15%
Financial resources 10%
Graduation Rate Performance 5%
Alumni Giving Rate 5%

MIT and CalTech certainly have more insitutional assets but I have heard nothing but praise about WPI's programs. The added benefit is that WPI provides a solid Humanities group of courses to compliment the science education. WPI tudents also report much satisfaction with the major projects that are part of the required cirriculum.
