A good major to pair with CiS?

Hey guys I've been thinking about a double major in Computer information Systems with Computer Science, do to guys think this is a good idea? My brother suggested that taking these two would be redundant and I would be better off pairing it with a major like Finance or Economics.

I want to do business, but more to the IT and technology side if you guys get what I'm trying to say.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to your opinions!

CIS and Economics.

Really? You’re not the first to suggest that, but may I know why you suggest that? I heard it’s really tough but then again, what isn’t when it comes to education.

CIS and Accounting. They are very interrelated. All financial transaction occur using both disciplines. This will make you attractive to big accounting firms in IT auditing and consulting. My CIO was an accounting major.

Hmmm that makes a lot of sense! Thank you for your suggestion, I’ll definitely look into it!

I agree with the accounting comment. Accounting is an increasingly complex topic and professionals who know how to integrate systems with accounting are in high demand.
