A good minor?

I am a rising sophomore majoring in Spanish, hoping to be a secondary Spanish teacher.

Right now my plan is to go onto grad school for linguistics/TESOL, and then become certified for Spanish ed, ESL, and English ed (so I hopefully have more options!)

My question is, what minor would be best for an aspiring teacher? Either to help boost my chances for grad school admission, or to look good for possible employers (in the small chance I would get a job before I started grad school).

Unfortunately education is not a minor at my school :/ Special education is an option, and I was also considering maybe psychology or sociology...

Anyone have an words of wisdom? Am I wasting my time stressing over a minor??

I don’t think a minor will really affect your chances on paper. That’s not to say a minor would be useless though. If you can handle the extra classes I would pick the subject that you find most interesting. In your grad school applications you can talk about why you chose that minor and what you learned from it (along with Spanish of course). And you never know what you’ll learn in those minor classes that may help you in the future.
